Soft Quotas on Unlimited Plans
To prevent abuse, there is a “soft” limit on Compress API usage. If you reach the limit, you’ll get an email and may contact us to have your limit raised. Alternatively, you can wait until your next billing cycle when usage totals will be reset.
We look at it as a "speed bump", letting you know that you've used a lot of resources this month. This also helps us manage server resources and plan ahead for expected usage. But the quota is flexible, so if you really need to compress more images, we'll be happy to accommodate your needs (at no extra charge).
